We congratulate our friend and photographer Eduard Meltzer to his prize in the category “music/performance” at the Sony World Photography Awards held at the prominent Palais des Festivals in Cannes, from 21 to 25 April 2008. The Honorary Board of the “World Photographic Academy” (WAP) consisting of Stephen Cohen, Bruce Davidson, Elliott Erwitt, Martine Francke, Nan Goldin, Susan Meiselas, Martin Parr, Rankin and Tom Soddart proudly gave tribute to the adopted Zurich inhabitant Eduard Meltzer. Our photographer Daniel K. Gebhart packed the punch – with his camera! Last Saturday already the third, huge open air pillow fight took place at the Union Square in New York City. At 3 PM our brave man stood – armed with camera and microphone – in the middle of the roaring, to the teeth pillowed butchers. Regardless of the serious injuries and daredevil maneuvres, our photographer caught the most beautiful shots. They have now been sodapixed and fresh uploaded on our server. Let the Games begin!
